1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Sirken Education Pvt. Ltd., operating the brand GII - Get Into IIMs ("GII", "we", "us" or "our"), collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data when users access or use our websites, mock tests, courses, learning platforms, forums, communities, communication channels, mobile or web applications, and any current or future services offered under the GII brand.
GII provides CAT preparation, mock tests, GDPI preparation, forums, learning support and related education services for aspirants preparing for IIM and other management admission journeys. This Privacy Policy applies to users, learners, forum participants, course enrollees, mock test users, website visitors and individuals who interact with GII through our digital or communication channels.
For the purposes of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and related rules, Sirken Education Pvt. Ltd. is the entity that determines the purpose and means of processing personal data collected through GII services. This policy is intended to provide a clear and plain-language account of the personal data we collect, why we collect it, how users can exercise their rights, and how they can contact us regarding privacy matters.
2. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy covers all GII services and touchpoints, including our website, web applications, mock test products, learning management systems, online courses, GDPI preparation services, forums, community channels, support channels, communication through email, SMS, phone, WhatsApp or similar channels, and future GII platforms or products.
Where a third-party platform, payment gateway, LMS, analytics provider or communication tool processes data in connection with GII services, such third party may also process personal data under its own terms and privacy policy. We recommend that users read the privacy policies of such third-party providers when they are redirected to, or interact with, those services.
3. Age Requirement
GII services are intended only for users who are 18 years of age or above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or permit users below 18 years of age to register for GII services. If we become aware that a user below 18 has provided personal data to us, we may take steps to delete such data and restrict access to the relevant account or service, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Usage data may include information about how a user interacts with GII services, such as login activity, pages viewed, course progress, video or LMS engagement, mock test attempts, answers submitted, scores, time spent, accuracy, section-wise performance, device and browser information, IP address, approximate location inferred from technical data, forum activity, support interactions and other platform activity data.
We use usage data to analyse and support a user's preparation, improve learning experiences, provide performance insights, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain platform security, detect misuse, improve our products and understand how GII services are being used. Some usage data may be processed by third-party learning management systems, analytics providers, hosting services or similar technology providers that support GII services.

We may use demographic and usage data to improve our courses, mocks, forums, community design, communication, curriculum and student support. Where possible, we may use aggregated or anonymised data for internal analysis, business planning, product improvement and reporting. Aggregated or anonymised data does not directly identify an individual user.
8. Marketing Communications and Opt-Out
GII may use a user's phone number, email ID or other contact details to send service updates, course-related communication, preparation resources, reminders, forum updates, mock test updates, promotional communication or marketing materials. Users may opt out of marketing communication by writing to us at hi@getintoiims.com with the subject line "Marketing Opt-Out" or any similar clear request.
Even after opting out of marketing communication, users may still receive important service, transactional, security, account, payment, legal or administrative communication where such communication is necessary for the use of GII services or compliance with applicable law.
9. Legal Basis and Consent
We process personal data when a user voluntarily provides it for a specific purpose, when processing is necessary to provide GII services requested by the user, when the user has consented to the processing, when processing is necessary for account security or service operation, or when processing is required or authorised by applicable law.
Where we rely on consent, users may withdraw consent by contacting us at hi@getintoiims.com. Withdrawal of consent will not affect processing that occurred before the withdrawal. If consent is withdrawn for data that is necessary to provide a service, certain GII services, account features, course access, mock test access, forums, communications or support features may no longer be available to the user.

11. Payment Information
Payments for GII services may be processed through third-party payment gateways or payment service providers. GII does not intend to collect or store full card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, banking passwords or similar payment authentication credentials. Such information is processed directly by the relevant payment provider, subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
GII may receive and store limited payment-related information such as transaction ID, payment status, amount paid, date of transaction, invoice or receipt details, programme purchased and limited payer details necessary for enrolment, accounting, tax, support, refund processing, dispute handling and legal compliance.
12. Forums and Community Participation
GII may provide forums or community features where users can read discussions and, after registration, participate in discussions. Users should avoid posting sensitive personal information, confidential information, login credentials, payment information, personal documents, private contact details or information about other individuals in public or semi-public forum spaces.
Forum participation may be moderated to maintain a serious, safe and relevant preparation environment. We may process forum posts, comments, reports, moderation history, user identifiers and related activity to operate the forum, enforce community rules, prevent misuse and maintain the quality of discussions.
13. Data Retention
GII retains personal data for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain accounts, support preparation, operate courses and mocks, validate results, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, secure our systems and fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
As a general standard, GII will retain personal data for one year from account inactivity before permanent deletion, unless the user requests deletion earlier or unless further retention is necessary for legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, payment, security, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, enforcement or legitimate operational reasons.
Account inactivity means that the user has not logged in, used GII services, participated in a course or forum, attempted a mock test, interacted with support, or otherwise contacted GII for service-related purposes during the relevant period. Before deletion, where technically feasible and where required, we may notify the user using the contact details available with us.
We may retain anonymised or aggregated information for analytics, product improvement, research, reporting and business planning, provided such information does not directly identify the user.
14. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These measures may include access controls, secure hosting, encryption or masking where appropriate, monitoring, logging, backups, contractual safeguards with service providers, internal access restrictions and security review processes.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials, using secure passwords, avoiding sharing OTPs, and promptly informing us if they suspect unauthorised access to their GII account.
15. Personal Data Breach
If we become aware of a personal data breach that affects a user's personal data, we will take steps to assess, contain, investigate and remediate the breach. Where required under applicable law, we will notify affected users and the relevant authority in the prescribed manner. Such notification may include information about the nature of the breach, likely consequences, steps taken by us, safety measures users may take and contact information for queries.
16. User Rights
Subject to applicable law and verification of identity, users may exercise rights in relation to their personal data. These rights may include the right to access information about personal data processed by GII, the right to correction, completion or updating of inaccurate or incomplete data, the right to request erasure of personal data, the right to withdraw consent, the right to grievance redressal and the right to nominate another individual to exercise rights in the event of death or incapacity.

17. Data Deletion Requests
Users may request deletion of their personal data by emailing hi@getintoiims.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" or any similar clear request. Once we verify the request, we will process it in accordance with applicable law and our retention obligations.
Deletion may result in loss of access to user accounts, courses, mock test history, reports, forum participation, preparation analytics, certificates, invoices, support history or other GII services connected with the deleted data. We may retain certain information where required for legal compliance, payment records, tax/accounting, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, enforcement of terms or other permitted purposes.

We will acknowledge and respond to grievances within the period required by applicable law and, in any event, within a reasonable period not exceeding ninety days from receipt of the grievance, subject to verification, complexity of the request and applicable legal requirements. Users should first use GII's grievance redressal mechanism before approaching the Data Protection Board of India, where applicable.
19. International Transfers
Some third-party service providers used by GII may store or process personal data in India or outside India, depending on their infrastructure and service configuration. Where personal data is transferred outside India, we will take steps required by applicable law and will comply with any restrictions or requirements notified by the Government of India regarding cross-border transfer or availability of personal data.
20. Accuracy of User Information
Users are responsible for providing accurate, complete and updated information to GII. Users should not impersonate another person, provide false information, suppress material information, submit frivolous grievances or provide unauthenticated information while exercising privacy rights. If a user's registered email ID, phone number, profile details, city, work experience, college, course or CAT Hall Ticket Number changes or is incorrect, the user should update it through available account settings or contact us for correction.
21. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in law, business practices, services, technology, cookies, third-party providers or data processing practices. When we make material changes, we may notify users through the website, account, email, phone, WhatsApp or other appropriate communication channels. The updated policy will be effective from the date stated at the top of the policy, unless otherwise specified.
